Videofluoroscopy has been proven to detect soft tissue injuries previously undetectable via other methods of imaging, such as regular still motions x-rays, CT scans, and even MRI. This motion x-ray machine also has “Image Enhancement”, which allows for a much crisper image of the viewed structures while exposing the patient to much lower x-ray doses, making for a more accurate diagnosis with less potential harm. This is particularly helpful in sports and whiplash injuries to understand how the respective joint has been injured and thus how rehabilitation should be employed. It also aids in determining a prognosis for the level of recovery for these types of injuries.
THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE REHABILITATION EQUIPMENT
This office is equipped with some of the most advanced spinal rehabilitation exercise equipment. High tech equipment of this caliber allows the doctor to direct spinal rehabilitation more accurately to the areas of the spine where it is needed most. Spinal injuries often require very specific and muscle and joint therapy, which may not be attainable with lower tech methods. During rehabilitation care there is typically a window of opportunity of time while the soft tissues heal with scar formation. We are serious about trying to get it right the first time as the patient doesn’t get a second chance after the scar is formed.
